Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Perspective application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App. Perspective reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the App after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. The most current version of these Terms will always be available within the App.

2. Description of Service

Perspective is a private communication and relationship support tool designed to help couples express their perspectives on conflicts or topics in a structured, neutral environment. The App generates summaries and guidance based on user input. Perspective is not a licensed therapy service, mental health provider, or crisis intervention service. Nothing within the App constitutes professional psychological, legal, or medical advice.

3. No Relationship Outcome Guarantee

Perspective makes no representations, warranties, or guarantees regarding the outcome of any relationship, conversation, or conflict as a result of using the App. The App is a communication aid only. Perspective is not responsible for any decisions made by users, the state of any relationship, or any emotional, psychological, or personal harm that may arise from use of the App. Users assume full responsibility for how they interpret and act upon information provided by the App.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. The App is intended for use by individuals in consensual adult relationships. Use of the App to harass, monitor, or control another person without their knowledge or consent is strictly prohibited.

5. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify Perspective immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. Perspective is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Certain features of the App require a paid subscription. Subscription fees are billed in advance on a recurring basis. All payments are final. Perspective expressly reserves the right to decline refund requests for any reason, including but not limited to partial use of a subscription period, dissatisfaction with generated content, or change of mind. By subscribing, you acknowledge and agree that all charges are non-refundable. Subscriptions may be cancelled at any time through your device's app store settings, and cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
• Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm another person
• Submit false, misleading, or malicious content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or its infrastructure
• Use automated tools to access or scrape the App

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and materials within the App are the exclusive property of Perspective and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. No rights are granted beyond those expressly stated in these Terms.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Perspective does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Perspective disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Perspective shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of revenue, or emotional distress, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App, even if Perspective has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Perspective's total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to Perspective in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the United States.

12. Changes to Terms

Perspective reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted within the App and will take effect immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the App after any modification constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.
