Perspective: Deepen Your Relationship

1. Overview

Perspective ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights with respect to that information when you use the Perspective application ("App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, and any content you submit within the App (such as session inputs, journal entries, and messages). We also collect limited technical data such as device type, operating system version, and app usage patterns for the purpose of improving app performance and reliability. We do not collect sensitive personal information beyond what is necessary to operate the App.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to provide, maintain, and improve the features of the App. Your session inputs are used to generate mediation summaries within the App. Your contact information is used to manage your account and communicate with you about your account or the App. We do not use your personal information for advertising or marketing to third parties.

4. Confidentiality of Messages and Session Content

All messages, session inputs, and journal entries submitted within the App are treated as strictly confidential. Your raw session input is never shared with your partner. Only the generated summary is shared between designated parties. Session content is not reviewed, accessed, or analyzed by Perspective staff except where required by law or to investigate a credible threat of harm. No session content is shared with any third party.

5. No Sale of Data

Perspective does not sell, rent, lease, or trade your personal information to any third party under any circumstances. Your data is not used for targeted advertising, data brokerage, or any commercial purpose beyond operating the App.

6. Data Sharing

We do not share your personal information with third parties except in the following limited circumstances: (a) with service providers who assist us in operating the App and who are contractually obligated to keep your information confidential; (b) when required by law, court order, or governmental authority; (c) to protect the rights, property, or safety of Perspective, our users, or the public. Any third-party service providers we use are bound by data processing agreements that prohibit them from using your data for any purpose other than providing services to us.

7. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the App's services. If you delete your account, all personal data associated with your account (including session inputs, messages, journal entries, and profile information) will be permanently and irreversibly deleted from our systems. This deletion is final and cannot be undone.

8. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from the Profile screen within the App. Upon deletion, all data associated with your account is permanently erased. There is no grace period or recovery option once deletion is confirmed. If you have an active subscription at the time of deletion, your subscription will be cancelled but no refund will be issued for the remaining subscription period.

9. Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. All data is transmitted over encrypted connections. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we become aware that a minor has provided us with personal information, we will delete that information promptly.

11. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@ourperspective.app. We will respond to all legitimate requests within a reasonable timeframe. Account deletion, as described in Section 8, is the most complete way to exercise your right to erasure.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the App and will take effect immediately upon posting. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
